Built in 1663 Pura Bratan is dedicated to the water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, very important for the fertility of the area. Located at 1200 m above sea level, the area has a nice cool feeling, a nice change from the otherwise hot tropical climate. If you are not bothered from the gazillion of tourists that surround the area, you can find the opportunity for great photos.
